Intimacy with God, that leads to dependency on God, proves the sufficiency of God!  This week Chris Brannon is back from Kenya and shares what God taught him through this mission trip on possessing nothing, but having everything.  He shows us “things” that threaten to displace God in our lives.  If you have come to the point of realizing you long for “things” over God, Chris gives us four steps that we can take next to put God before “things” in our lives.

Radical Disciples embrace suffering as a normal part of life in Christ.  Chris Brannon speaks on Christians and suffering.  He shares with us some of the reasons for our suffering.  He also talks about what our response should be to that suffering and gives us some Biblical responses.  Are you finding strength in God or trying to do it on your own?

What are the symptoms of arrogance?  Justin Henderson speaks on humility and how, as radical disciples, we must set aside our arrogance.  He gives us the symptoms of arrogance and how we can overcome them.  He will give some examples of arrogance and humility.  We need to find our identity in Christ and look to Jesus.

Chris Brannon speaks on engaging with the poor and needy.  He describes who the poor and needy are: the humble poor, the physically poor and the oppressed poor.  He also shows us that poverty is not the absence of money, but the absence of hope.  When we engage the poor and needy we glorify God, obey God’s command and Jesus’ teachings, live out the royal law of love and we get our eyes off of ourselves!  How much do you personally involve yourself with the poor?  Chris gives us ways to be involved locally and globally.

Jesus came so you can die!  Chris Brannon speaks on living a Cross-Centered life.  A Radical Disciple must die to self and lose his old life to find his new life in Jesus.  What does the cross represent and what message was Jesus trying to give us by telling us to pick up our cross?  Chris will tell us what the cross meant to Jesus and what it should mean to us.  He also explains what it looks like to take up our cross daily.  What does dying daily mean to you?  What cross-minded activity or lifestyle change is Jesus prompting you to make?
